An orientation programme on entrepreneurship was organized by Don Bosco Nerul Development Service on September 2, 2026 at the AV Hall, 3rd Floor. The session was conducted by Dr Royal D’Souza and was attended by 60 participants from different migrant communities, including Belapur, Panvel, Turbe and Chembur, etc.

The programme began with a brief introduction by Fr Dr Barnabe D’Souza, Director, who welcomed the participants and introduced the purpose of the session. The programme highlighted the background and support provided through BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) government schemes and Self-Help Groups working in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. This programme helped many community members to adapt a better lifestyle. Fr Allwyn Misquitta (administrator cum social work in-charge) and Fr Joyston Machado (academy in-charge) were also present.  

The session focused on the present developing in the entrepreneurial sector, mindset and roadmap, along with the importance of having the commitment to face the harsh realities of life. Participants were guided on practical aspects of entrepreneurship, including marketing, financial literacy, accounting and learning from successful role models. This workshop will be for five days. Self-belief and punctuality were key highlighted points.

The session further covered how to choose the right business and how to effectively implement a business idea through a proper business plan. Overall, the programme was informative and practical, providing participants with useful knowledge, motivation and confidence to explore entrepreneurship and develop sustainable income-generating opportunities and become responsible, honest citizens of our country.

Ms Jyoti Agarwal also addressed community development for ladies and highlighted the importance of computer and the role of Tally in day-to-day activities in office. Tally plays an important role for the young generation seeking jobs after 12th standard.
