Dominic Savio Kindergarten, Nerul celebrated Blue Day on Thursday, September 24, 2026, with all four divisions of Nursery. The celebration was conducted in their respective classrooms with the aim of helping young learners recognise and understand the colour blue through a joyful and interactive experience.

The Nursery classrooms came alive with cheerful little learners dressed in different shades of blue. Each child brought along one object of blue colour from home and enthusiastically participated in the activity. The children were encouraged to speak 2–3 simple lines about their chosen blue object, helping them develop confidence, vocabulary, communication skills, and the ability to express themselves.

The activity provided children with a wonderful opportunity for visual and experiential learning. They observed, identified, and spoke about familiar blue objects while learning to connect the colour with their everyday surroundings. The children participated with great excitement and enjoyed listening to their friends speak about their objects.

As a part of the celebration, children also brought tiffins containing blue-coloured food items. They enjoyed seeing and sharing different food choices such as blueberry fruit, blueberry yoghurt, blue pasta, and blue dosa. This activity helped children connect the colour blue with their everyday food and surroundings while making the learning experience more meaningful and enjoyable.

The Blue Day celebration also encouraged children to overcome hesitation and speak confidently in front of their classmates. The bright blue outfits, colourful objects, happy faces, and enthusiastic participation made the classrooms lively and joyful.

The celebration concluded on a warm and happy note, with teachers appreciating the sincere efforts and participation of every child. Blue Day was a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience that helped our little learners recognise the colour blue while developing their confidence and communication skills.
