KAWANT, GUJARAT – October 5, 2026: Don Bosco High School, Kawant, hosted the Taluka-level Kala Mahakumb on October 5, 2026, bringing together students from schools across the taluka to showcase their talents in various forms of art and cultural expression.
A total of 26 schools were invited to participate in the Taluka-level competition, of which 12 schools took part in the event. The Kala Mahakumb provided a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, artistic abilities and cultural talents through a wide range of competitions.
The programme commenced at 10 a.m. and continued throughout the day until 6 p.m. Students participated in 14 different art forms, giving them opportunities to compete and express themselves through music, dance, drama and visual arts.
The competitions included drawing, harmonium, mono act and various forms of dance, among other artistic disciplines. Each competition provided the participating students with an opportunity to present their skills before the judges and fellow participants. The students participated with enthusiasm and confidence, displaying their preparation and dedication towards their respective art forms.
The event brought together students and accompanying teachers from different schools of the taluka, creating an atmosphere of healthy competition and cultural exchange. The variety of art forms represented during the Kala Mahakumb reflected the diverse talents and interests of the students.
The smooth conduct of the event was supported by the dedicated efforts of the teachers of Don Bosco High School, Kawant, particularly Sir Govind, Sir Ganesh, Sir Vikash and Sir Deepak, who played an important role in the organisation and coordination of the programme.
As part of its contribution towards encouraging the participating students, Don Bosco High School, Kawant, sponsored trophies for the young participants. The trophies served as a token of appreciation and encouragement for the students and their efforts in various artistic disciplines. The institution also extended its support in facilitating the smooth conduct of the event.
Hosting the Taluka-level Kala Mahakumb provided Don Bosco High School, Kawant, with an opportunity to contribute to the promotion of cultural and artistic activities among young people in the region.
