On September 28, 2026, Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, warmly welcomed Fr Provincial Ashley Miranda during his Provincial Visitation for the academic year 2026–27. The occasion reflected the vibrant spirit, values and unity of the Don Bosco family.
The programme commenced with an impressive Guard of Honour, followed by a prayer dance presented by the college students, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. The pre-primary students delighted the gathering with a lively dance, adding innocence and joy to the celebration.
The welcome programme continued with the graceful introduction of Fr Provincial by Rector Fr Wyman. The college students presented an energetic orchestra and a meaningful skit, followed by a vibrant dance by the primary section and a spectacular Creation Dance by the secondary students. These performances showcased the creativity, confidence and talents of the students.
The Management joined the students on stage for the traditional welcome, after which Fr Provincial was felicitated by the Management, PTA and PPA as a gesture of respect and gratitude. He then addressed the students and staff, appreciating the various programmes and activities conducted by the school and college. He commended the enthusiasm, creativity and participation of the students and encouraged them to take responsibility for keeping their surroundings clean.
Emphasising the importance of environmental cleanliness and responsible living, he reminded the students that caring for the environment is a shared responsibility towards society and future generations.
The programme also featured the prize distribution ceremony, which recognised students for their achievements. A sapling was planted on the school campus, symbolising growth, responsibility and the institution’s commitment to environmental conservation.
The occasion concluded with the Investiture Ceremony of the Scouts and Guides, highlighting the values of discipline, leadership, service and responsibility.
Following the school programme, Fr Provincial met the staff members and interacted with them in a warm and cordial atmosphere. He listened to their views, shared words of encouragement and strengthened the bond of fraternity within the Don Bosco family.
The visitation was a meaningful and enriching experience, inspiring students and staff to pursue excellence, embrace responsibility and contribute towards building a cleaner and better society.
