On October 16, 2026, Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, celebrated Father’s Day with warmth, enthusiasm and heartfelt appreciation for the love, sacrifices and unwavering support of fathers. The programme honoured the invaluable role fathers play in shaping their children’s lives, nurturing their dreams and instilling essential values.

The celebration began with a warm welcome to the School Management and all the fathers present. The programme commenced with a prayer led by the students, seeking God’s blessings upon all fathers and their families which highlighted the importance of love, unity, gratitude and guidance within every family.

Adding charm and innocence to the occasion, the Nursery students presented a delightful dance dedicated to their loving fathers. Their cheerful expressions and enthusiastic movements brought smiles to the audience. The Junior KG students followed with a sweet song expressing their love, respect and gratitude towards their fathers. Their melodious performance beautifully conveyed the importance of a father’s presence, care and encouragement in a child’s life.

The Senior KG students further enlivened the celebration with a special dance showcasing the precious bond between fathers and children. Their energetic performance reflected the affection and emotional connection that make this relationship truly special. The performances filled the atmosphere with joy.

An important highlight of the programme was the address by the Principal, Fr Rixson Nigrel sdb, who shared a meaningful message on fatherhood, responsible parenting and the importance of family. He emphasised that a father is not merely a provider but also a mentor, role model and source of strength who guides children through life’s challenges, instils values and encourages them to pursue their dreams with confidence. He also highlighted the importance of love, understanding and active parental involvement in the holistic development of every child.

The celebration continued with fun-filled and interactive games organised especially for the fathers. The activities encouraged enthusiastic participation, laughter and bonding, providing fathers with an opportunity to enjoy themselves and connect with the school community.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the Management, Principal, teachers, fathers and students for making the celebration memorable.

The Father’s Day celebration served as a beautiful tribute to fatherhood, reminding everyone that a father’s love, guidance and presence leave an everlasting imprint on a child’s heart. The event strengthened the partnership between home and school while celebrating the priceless contribution of fathers in nurturing happy, confident and responsible individuals.
