KAWANT, October 28, 2026: DISHA Don Bosco Kawant welcomed representatives of Bosch Company and senior members of the Rotary Club of Jawaharnagar on October 28, 2026. Mr Kirit Dholakia and Mr Manoj Adalja from the Rotary Club visited the Bridge Course Centre to interact with the trainees of the 12th batch and distribute certificates to students who had successfully completed the Bridge Course under the 11th batch.
The programme began while the Bridge Course session was in progress. On seeing the guests arrive, the students warmly welcomed the senior Rotary Club members with a cheerful ‘Good Morning’. Fr Mayank Parmar introduced the guests to the students and explained the objectives, approach and significance of the Bridge Course.
During his interaction, Fr Parmar highlighted the challenges faced by many young people, particularly those who have discontinued their education or come from financially and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Due to limited educational opportunities, family circumstances and a lack of proper guidance, many lose confidence in their ability to build a better future. DISHA Don Bosco Kawant identifies such young people, encourages them to recognise their potential and motivates them to join the Bridge Course. The programme helps them develop confidence, gain basic knowledge and prepare for further vocational training.
He further explained that after completing the Bridge Course, students proceed to VTC Goraj for a six-month vocational training programme in their chosen trades. On successful completion of this training, they receive support in securing employment, with a 100 per cent job assurance under the programme.
The visiting guests then interacted personally with the 12th batch trainees. They enquired about their educational backgrounds, interests, aspirations and future plans after completing the Bridge Course. The guests encouraged the students to set clear goals, work consistently towards them, use their time wisely and make the best possible use of the opportunities available to them. They also offered valuable suggestions and guidance regarding career choices and future prospects.
The interaction revealed that while several students had already identified their career goals, some were still exploring their interests and deciding on their future direction. The guests encouraged them to remain open to learning and assured them that with proper guidance, motivation and determination, they could move forward confidently.
A special moment of the programme was the certificate distribution ceremony for the successful students of the 11th batch. The certificates were presented by the visiting guests in recognition of their successful completion of the Bridge Course. Adding to the festive spirit of the occasion, the guests distributed chocolates to all the students as a Diwali gift, bringing smiles and excitement to the gathering.
The programme concluded with a group photograph of the guests, Fr Parmar, staff members and students in front of the DISHA Don Bosco Bridge Course Centre. The visit provided an encouraging opportunity for the trainees to interact with experienced professionals, receive career guidance and feel motivated to pursue their aspirations with confidence.
