In recognition of his outstanding contribution to education, institutional leadership and social service, Fr Anthony Fonseca, Principal of Don Bosco High School & Jr College, Naigaon East, was honoured with the State Level, Ideal Teacher Award 2026, on October 18, 2026, by Aspire Foundation, a non-governmental charitable organisation. This honour celebrates his dedication to educational excellence, student development and the holistic formation of young minds. Adding to his list of achievements, Fr Anthony Fonseca was earlier honoured with the prestigious Bharat Seva Puraskar by Jivran Foundation on May 10, 2026.

Aspire Foundation, a non-governmental charitable organisation working in the educational and social sectors, recognises educators whose contributions extend beyond the classroom. Its initiatives honour teachers and educational leaders for their commitment to student development, innovative practices and meaningful social engagement. During his tenure at Don Bosco Nerul, where he served as the first Principal of the CBSE institution, he contributed to building an educational environment founded on academic rigour, innovation and value-based formation. His leadership encouraged the integration of technology into teaching, the introduction of smart classrooms, remedial support for students and professional development for teachers. His emphasis on student-centred learning helped create an atmosphere in which academic achievement went hand in hand with personal growth.

His subsequent contribution at Don Bosco Nashik further strengthened his reputation as a committed educational leader, with his work earning recognition among the city’s leading principals. His approach to school administration has consistently placed importance on quality teaching, teacher empowerment, student counselling and the creation of a positive and supportive learning environment. His educational vision extends beyond textbooks and examinations. Initiatives such as Good Morning Talks, peace assemblies, language development programmes, quizzes, Scouts and Guides, and value-oriented activities have helped promote confidence, discipline, communication skills, teamwork and social responsibility among students.
