BIS #5828 NEW PRIESTS VISIT ANDHERI

by Father McEnroe Lopes for BISMumbai

St. Dominic Savio Boys' Home Andheri-Mumbai was all geared up and ready to welcome the MumbaiSalesian new priests on 10 January 2020, despite being busy in the exam mode.

At a well-animated concelebrated Eucharist, presided over by Father Bosco Carvalho, the boarders livened up liturgical proceedings with zestful singing and prayerful participation. Father Carvalho shared a testimony of his personal healing even while in his mother's womb, saying "as a child every Friday I was taken to the doctor as I would fall sick, but after joining Don Bosco Lonavla, I was completely healed."

Post-Eucharist the boys read a short address, and a very lively Q&A session followed, with the boys posing many questions, dutifully answered by the new priests. The thought-provoking interaction also allowed each of the newly ordained to share their vocation story. Father Brian Moras, former MumbaiSalesians Vocation Promoter and currently Rector-St. Dominc Savio Boys' Home Andheri then accompanied the visiting priests for a campus darshan providing an overview of the many activities, detailing the just concluded Golden Jubilee initiatives. A festive lunch, with some spirited table-conversation brought the visit to a close.
