Don Bosco Kawant officially inaugurated its much-awaited Summer Camp 2025 on April 15 in the presence of the school management, coaches, parents, well-wishers, and an enthusiastic group of participating children. The summer camp will run until May 14, 2025, culminating with a grand closing ceremony that will include a certificate and prize distribution.

The inauguration ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by dignitaries and a representative from the participants, symbolizing the beginning of an exciting journey of learning and growth. Fr Mayank, the Rector, delivered the inaugural address. In his speech, he emphasized the Don Bosco spirit, saying, “Don Bosco keeps no holidays. For us, holidays mean a change in activities, not a break from growth.” He encouraged children to make the best use of their time during the summer and highlighted how the camp provides an opportunity for holistic development.

Following the speech, the Summer Camp board was unveiled, and the camp was officially declared open.

Fr Ajay Shelke, the Principal, shared an overview of the camp activities. He announced that coaching in Table Tennis, Badminton, Football, and Basketball would take place every morning and evening. He also introduced Spoken English classes scheduled before lunch hours, and training in musical instruments such as the tabla, dholak, and harmonium during the afternoon. In addition, drawing classes and daily lightning tournaments will add creativity and excitement to the camp.

Over 100 children have already registered for the camp, and the registration counter remains open for a few more days for those who still wish to join. The participating children expressed their excitement and eagerness to be part of the fun-filled summer program.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Cl Veenus and Cl Raju, followed by a team assembly. The coaches met with their respective teams, offering guidance and sharing the essential do’s and don’ts for a safe and enjoyable camp experience.

The Don Bosco Kawant Summer Camp 2025 promises to be a vibrant blend of sports, creativity, learning, and fun, providing children with the perfect platform to develop their skills, confidence, and friendships over the summer break.
