BIS #6552 Don Bosco Nashik 'Science and Technology for sustainable development'

An Intra School Science Exhibition was held at Don Bosco School and Junior College-Nashik, on 18 December 2021.The idea of the science exhibition during these tough times had been conceived by the principal, Father Cedrick Sankul who believes that the hidden talent of the young needs to be tapped, honed and developed by the educators so that they become confident, focused and polished to accomplish their dreams.This science fair provided a forum for as many as 100 students to exhibit indigenous methods, techniques and models.
The theme of the exhibition was “Science and Technology for Sustainable Development”. One could witness, on this platform, creative and innovative minds ready to evolve and emerge as skilled inventors of the near future, for the growth of society, nation and mankind. The students of the Primary Section, Middle School, Secondary Section and Junior College participated in the event and they had been divided into four groups. The inauguration ceremony was flagged off with the traditional lighting of the lamp. Bhoomika Masrani and Caroline Rajsekhar introduced the judges to the students of the Junior College. The eight judges of the Exhibition were presented gifts, after which the event was inaugurated. The displayed models and projects were assessed by the judges on the parameters of creativity, innovation, scientific aptitude and practical application.
All the guests praised the efforts of the students and congratulated them for putting their best foot forward. One of the judges Smt. Vispute, a retired Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation teacher, in her speech highlighted the hard work behind the success of the Exhibition and hailed the confidence of the students encouraging them to keep up the good work. The prize distribution ceremony began at 11.30 am. Winners from all the four groups were awarded trophies and certificates.
