Faith Dhamaka is a unique platform where children are encouraged to read, learn, and proclaim the Word of God. This event was organized by the Sacred Heart Parish, Yerwada, on January 12, 2025. It was a memorable day for catechism students, filled with learning, faith, and joy.

In preparation for the event, a preliminary round was conducted on  January 5,  2025. From each class, the top five scorers were selected to participate in the grand finale. The final day saw enthusiastic participation from children and immense support from their parents.

The day began with the Holy Eucharist, celebrated by Fr Manohar from PIME. During his homily, he highlighted the significance of Jesus’ baptism, emphasizing His humility despite being the Son of God. He encouraged everyone, especially the children, to live as true children of God by listening to their parents, elders, and the Church.

After the Mass, the Faith Dhamaka commenced with an action song, setting the tone for the day. The much-anticipated Quiz Competition followed, hosted by Mrs Nancy and Br. Vibin. The five teams Ark Adventurers, Faith Explorers, God’s Warriors, Gospel Gang, and Scripture Superstars competed with great zeal. The quiz had five engaging rounds, with questions also posed to the audience, involving both children and parents. The team God’s Warriors emerged as the winners. All participants were awarded certificates and prizes, acknowledging their effort and enthusiasm.

The event continued with the Biblical Fashion Show, a highlight of the day. Children from classes I to IX dressed as various biblical characters and enacted their roles on stage. Their creativity and resemblance to the original characters were remarkable. Points were awarded for creativity, presentation, and authenticity, and the best characters from each class received prizes.

As the day concluded, some parents expressed their gratitude to Fr Michael Fernandes the Parish Priest and the catechists for organizing such an enriching event. They appreciated how Faith Dhamaka instilled a deeper love for the Word of God in the hearts of children and strengthened their faith in the Church.

Faith Dhamaka 2025 was truly a day to remember. It brought together children, parents, and catechists in a celebration of faith, learning, and community. Events like these play a crucial role in helping young hearts grow in their spiritual journey and stay rooted in the teachings of the Church.
