BIS #6701 Literary Fest at DB Borivli

By Mrs Neelam Rodrigues for BISMumbai

An English Literary Fest was held at Don Bosco High School, Borivli, from 11 to 14 July 2022. It was a blend of a variety of activities being organised for the students from Classes 5 to 10.

After the pandemic, it was generally observed that students were hesitating to come forward and participate in activities because of stage-fright. Therefore, the Principal, Fr Flovi D’Souza, suggested having the competition at class level to get maximum participation. Doing this would help the students regain their lost confidence. This competition received a large response in terms of participation.

The English Faculty organised unique activities for each of the classes. The Class 5 students had ‘Character Enactment’, while Class 6 students displayed their skills through a ‘Story Telling Competition’. The students of Class 7 had ‘Creative Advertisements’, while the Class 8 students had to enact a monologue. The students of Classes 9 and 10 participated in a ‘Speech Competition’.

The colourful charts displayed in the classes and the corridors had the students excited. All in all, it was an amazing event for the young minds of DB Borivli.
