Pope Francis had asked for the local level 'World Youth Day Celebrations' on the Feast of Christ the King on 21 November 2021. The Salesian Youth Movement [SYM] of Don Bosco Youth Services [DBYS], Mumbai celebrated the World Youth Day starting with a Eucharistic procession.

The Eucharistic procession and Adoration was followed by a special Youth Mass in the crypt of the Shrine of Don Bosco’s Madonna, Matunga. Around 30 youth participated in the celebration. Father Sunil Pinto in his homily beautifully explained the message of Pope Francis for the 36^th World Youth Day encouraging the young people to arise and be witnesses of God’s love.

The celebration was livened by praise and worship, telegames, karaoke and sing song. The celebration concluded with a Goodnight Thought given by Father Velasli Bandya who spoke about the dream of Don Bosco of the handkerchiefs.
