On Monday, 9th June 2025, in an atmosphere brimming with joy and gratitude, the Divyadaan community warmly welcomed back one of its most esteemed sons - Rev. Fr. Ivo Coelho, SDB - after his remarkable 11-year service in Rome as the General Councillor for Formation of the Salesians of Don Bosco. Fr. Ivo arrived at the Divyadaan: Salesian Institute of Philosophy, Nashik, at around 10.00 a.m., where he was received with heartfelt affection. The entire community, gathered in anticipation, welcomed him with a cheerful song that echoed the joy of having him back among us. His presence, familiar and deeply cherished, immediately rekindled a sense of homecoming.
With warmth and humility, Fr. Ivo greeted the staff and brothers, expressing his joy at returning to the Province and especially to Divyadaan, a place that has long been woven into the fabric of his life and vocation. Later in the day, at 12.30 p.m., the community assembled once again, this time in the intimacy of a family circle, to formally mark the occasion. The celebration was simple, yet deeply meaningful, filled with vibrant singing, laughter, and a spirit of fraternal affection.
In a beautifully crafted welcome address, Cl. Rex gave voice to the sentiments of the entire community, honouring Fr. Ivo’s legacy and expressing their collective joy at his return. In his response, Fr. Ivo shared his reflections with characteristic gentleness and insight. He spoke of his gratitude to be back in a familiar and nurturing space and expressed his hope for years of mutual enrichment, spiritual growth, and joyful fraternity.
The gathering concluded with a symbolic group photograph, capturing the joy of the moment, followed by a fraternal meal, a true celebration of communion and gratitude. Fr. Ivo’s return is more than a personal transition; it is a moment of inspiration for the entire Salesian family. His life of global service, anchored in deep faith and humility, continues to inspire a new generation of Salesians to live their vocations with conviction, joy, and rootedness.
Welcome home, Fr. Ivo. Divyadaan is blessed once again by your presence.
