Chhotaudepur football league organized by Don Bosco past pupil federation Chhotaudepur kicked off on August 18, 2024. The league matches will be held over a period of four Sundays. There are ten football teams who have registered themselves for this league.

The inauguration of the league was held at 9:30 AM on Sunday. Mr Dashrath Rathwa the vice president of the past pupil unit Chhotaudepur and the anchor for the day welcomed the gathering. Fr George Carlos the rector of the institute was the chief guest for the event. In his inaugural speech Fr Carlos shed light on the contribution of the past pupil federation to the institute. He further said that the past pupil of the institute are very much part of the Salesian family and he encouraged them to remain committed to the institution and close to Don Bosco.

Mr Madhubhai Rathwa was the guest of honour for the event. Mr Rathwa is the member of the past pupil core committee, he is the head of all the primary schools in the district of Chhotaudepur. Mr Rathwa shared his experience with Don Bosco institution, he expressed his gratitude to all the early missionaries who shaped his life in the boarding as well as in the school.

Dr Rameshbhai Rathwa the president of the past pupil federation Chhotaudepur gave the brief information of the several events which will be held in the coming months. Dr Rathwa thanked all those who have contributed to organize these league matches.

The local delegate of the past pupil federation Fr Cedrick Sankul thanked all the team members for being present for the event and he encouraged them to take part in the upcoming events which are planned by the past pupil federation of Chhotaudepur.

The ten teams which have registered for this league are from the neighbouring vicinity. The football league matches are organized annually and the winners are given the rolling trophy and the cash prize. This year the winner of the tournament will be given a trophy and cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- and the runner up will be awarded a trophy and cash prize of Rs 5000/- at the culmination of the tournament.

The past pupil federation of Chhotaudepur meets once in a month to plan out and evaluate the activities conducted during the month. The motto of the federation is "Lead and protect" the past pupils federation strives to live up to this motto by several initiative they carry out in various strata of the society.
