BIS #6661 A Dream Come True

The new English Medium School was inaugurated at Don Bosco, Chhotaudepur, on 21 June 2022.
The Salesians have been actively working towards the upliftment of the Rathwas in the Chhotaudepur district of Gujarat. Establishing an English medium school at Chhotaudepur was the dream and wish of many Salesians and parents at Chhotaudepur. Finally with the efforts of numerous people, the dream has now been fulfilled.
The inaugural ceremony was hosted by Ms Shilpa Chaudhari and Ms Ashwariya Pawar. The students were welcomed creatively by crowning them with paper crowns prepared by the teachers. After prayers and lighting of the lamp, Fr George Carlos, the Rector of the institution, spoke about the Salesian works in India and around the globe. Various individuals who helped out in the establishing the school were felicitated and thanked publicly; Mr Ishwar Dabhi, Mr Shahid Makrani, Mr Vithhal Rathwa and Mr Devji Rathwa.
Fr Carlos then addressed the gathering in which he mentioned how Don Bosco has been at the forefront of development of tribals in Gujarat and has produced so many government servants, police as well as army personnel, doctors, lawyers and teachers. The ceremony ended by a vote of thanks by Fr Ferreira.
