Youth Pasch 2025 was organized by Don Bosco Youth Services (DBYS) for the senior youth from April 16, 2025 to April 20, 2025 at Don Bosco Lonavla. It was a spiritually enriching journey that brought together 28 young people in a spirit of reflection, service, and renewal. The program began with a session on expectations and personal commitment, setting a reflective tone for the days ahead.
A powerful meditation on the washing of the feet saw participants humbly serve one another, followed by group sharing that deepened their understanding of love and humility. The session on “Love as I have loved you” introduced the Ladder Model encouraging the youth to live a life rooted in Christ. Discussions on prayer, the Rosary, the Bible, Mass, and repentance emphasized that the road to love begins with a contrite heart.
The Exodus Experience took participants through symbolic stations reflecting life, death, and resurrection, with scripture and reflections guiding their spiritual growth. A meaningful exploration of the Maundy Thursday liturgy highlighted the Eucharist, priesthood, and the commandment to love. The youth also actively participated in the Seder Meal, altar decorations, and Taizé prayer service, culminating in the chapel celebration of Maundy Thursday Mass and the washing of the Apostles’ feet.
Sessions on brokenness, forgiveness, and healing used real-life family examples to guide youth toward reconciliation. The Labyrinth Garden offered a unique spiritual pilgrimage, prompting inward reflection. A Live Way of the Cross was enacted by various youth groups and integrated with the celebration of the Lord’s Passion and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. A powerful reconciliation service involved writing sins on paper and nailing them to the cross, symbolizing repentance.
Themes of hope and healing continued through sessions on Jesus as the anchor and the Empty Tomb Experience, which encouraged youth to reflect on living a meaningful life and leaving a legacy. The mirror activity and reflections led to deep personal insights. Preparations for the Easter Vigil included decorating, music, and liturgy, all led by the youth.
Daily meditations, including reflections on the Prodigal Son and At the Foot of the Cross, guided participants into deeper prayer. A symbolic burning of sins marked a moment of release and transformation. The Easter Vigil and Via Lucis celebration affirmed the joy of resurrection. The guiding message— “Salvation is free, but not cheap”—left a lasting impact.
Youth Pasch 2025 concluded with a renewed commitment to faith, attending Sunday Mass regularly, spending time in prayer and a commitment to be more involved in their respective parishes. It was a profound journey of hope, healing, and transformation for every participant.
