by Fathers Burkhao & Fernandes for BISMumbai

Don Bosco Waluj Aurangabad organized its first ever Youth Pasch in its premises with 18 young participants from St. Alphonsa Parish. The Pasch commenced from the afternoon of Maundy Thursday 01 April and concluded in the morning of Easter Sunday 04 April 2021. Father Richard Burkhao Parish youth-Incharge visited the homes and exhorted each of the participants to participate in this unique event.

Fathers Burkhao and Francis conducted various sessions over the course of the three days explaining the purpose of the Youth Pasch, gradually guiding the group to a more meaningful existence of self-discovery in their relationship with God and one another.

Father Burkhao onducted a series of guided meditations in the morning using vivid imagination to encounter the Risen Lord. The Paschal Triduum services were celebrated in a meaningful manner during these three days, helping the young to encounter the Lord in His Passion, Death and Resurrection. Each youngster was invited to wash the feet of their group members which was a personally touching moment for each of them. The Good Friday celebration included a meaningful celebration of the Way of the Cross. The high point of the Pasch was the Sacrament of Reconciliation enabling each youngster to make his/her peace with God.

In their feedback, the young participants expressed that "this was the first time that the Christian faith was explained so meaningfully," to them. They were now in a better mode to live their faith knowing its richness.
