Chinchwad, Pune: In a proud and momentous celebration, Don Bosco Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Chinchwad, in collaboration with Hyundai Motor India Limited, held the convocation ceremony for the Motor Mechanical Vehicle (MMV) batch of 2025. The event recognized the successful completion of training by a fresh cohort of skilled students, now equipped to join the dynamic automotive industry.
The convocation was graced by the presence of eminent dignitaries from Hyundai Motor India, including Mr Ashutosh Gupta, Manager, and Mr Shashank Tambe, After Sales Area Manager. From Don Bosco ITI, Fr Bosco D'Mello and Mr Nilesh Chandgude, Principal, welcomed the guests and presided over the event.
In his congratulatory address, Mr Gupta highlighted the industry-relevant training imparted at Don Bosco ITI, aligning with Hyundai’s vision of empowering youth through skill development. “With the industry transitioning rapidly toward electric mobility, AI diagnostics, and advanced automation, we need technicians who are not only skilled but also future-ready. Today’s graduates are entering a promising career landscape,” he noted.
Mr Chandgude, in his remarks, praised the strength of the partnership between the institute and Hyundai, stating, “This collaboration ensures that our students are not only trained on theoretical knowledge but are also exposed to real-world, hands-on industry practices. Hyundai’s contribution, in terms of technology support, faculty training, and curriculum development, has made a tangible difference.”
Fr D'Mello extended his heartfelt appreciation to Hyundai for their sustained commitment under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which has included donation of vehicle cut-sections, diagnostic equipment, and capacity-building support to the institute over the years.
The ceremony was filled with emotion and pride, as graduates donned their caps and gowns to receive certificates, marking the transition from students to skilled professionals. Family members and faculty applauded the achievements of the young graduates, many of whom have already secured placements through the institute’s campus recruitment drives.
Also included in the event were student testimonials, where graduates shared their transformation stories — from uncertain beginnings to confident professionals ready to contribute to the automotive sector. Some highlighted how the exposure to Hyundai’s service models and tools gave them a competitive edge in job interviews.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks acknowledging the collaborative efforts of Hyundai Motor India, the dedicated training staff, and the unwavering support from Don Bosco management in shaping the future of India’s technical workforce.
