She was assisted by Mrs Perpetual Nazareth, who is also currently teaching at Don Bosco High School, Matunga for last 25 years. They were felicitated by Fr Richard Burkhao, the principal of Don Bosco English Medium School. The program began with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome from Fr Ajit Munis. In his address to the teachers, Fr Munis underscored the significance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its implications for the future of education.
Mrs Tandel highlighted the critical importance of early childhood learning and traced its evolution through legal frameworks. She explained how NEP 2020 advocates for multidisciplinary learning, encouraging students to explore a variety of subjects while developing essential life skills. Additionally, she elaborated on the transformative elements of NEP 2020, particularly its emphasis on practical knowledge, assessment methods, educational outcomes, and curriculum development.
To foster engagement among the teachers, Mrs Tandel facilitated a series of interactive activities aimed at enhancing their understanding of children's interests and learning styles. She also provided a link to a question bank, enabling teachers to respond and receive immediate feedback on their performance.
Fr Richard Burkhao expressed his sincere gratitude to Mrs Tandel for her invaluable contributions and dedication. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs Shaila, leaving participants inspired and equipped with fresh insights to enhance their teaching practices.
