On February 9, 2025, Don Bosco, Narukot, was abuzz with excitement as the Bal Mela program got underway at 9:30 am. The event was graced by the presence of chief guests, Mr Sylvester Macwan and his wife, Mrs Dolcy Simon. Fr Elson, the rector of Don Bosco Narukot, extended a warm welcome to the gathering, setting the tone for a day filled with joy, laughter, and celebration.

The program showcased the talents of kids from different villages, who presented mesmerising dance performances and thought-provoking speeches. The credit for their impressive showings went to the VEP (Village Education Program) teachers, who had trained the students with dedication and care. Mrs Dolcy Simon, in her inspiring speech, praised the VEP teachers for their selfless efforts in nurturing the talents of the young participants. The VEP teachers were felicitated for their outstanding contributions, and their hard work was acknowledged and appreciated by all.

After a sumptuous lunch, the boarders of classes 6, 7, 9, and 11 took centre stage, setting up 20 game stalls that offered a wide range of exciting activities for the children to enjoy. The kids had a blast playing the games, and their faces lit up with joy and excitement. The winners were awarded prizes according to their prize coupons, and the sense of achievement was palpable.

As the day drew to a close, Fr Daresh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, guests, and organisers, thanking them for making the Bal Mela 2025 a resounding success. The event culminated with a prize distribution ceremony at 5 pm, marking the end of a day filled with laughter, excitement, and celebration of talent.

The Bal Mela 2025 will be etched in the memories of the participants and attendees for a long time, serving as a reminder of the importance of nurturing talent, promoting creativity, and fostering a sense of community and joy.
