BIS #5960 DON BOSCO SAVEDI EXTENDS PRIMARY RELIEF DURING COVID-19

by Cleric Alfred Menezes with Father Vishwas Pereira for BISMumbai

The MumbaiSalesians at Don Bosco Savedi in Ahmednagar undertook a COVID-19 relief outreach for urban, rural, Pardhi and Dombari communities, extending a helping hand to provide these with food sustenance. Despite the lockdown restrictions and other strict directives issued by the civic administration, Don Bosco Savedi provided primary help, as possible, to the needy poor in Ahmednagar.

The corona pandemic has affected the most poor everywhere and in Ahmednagar too, the most marginalised were deprived of food. Hence, food-ration kits were provided to 320 families in the urban settings, 90 families in the rural areas and 50 families of the Pardhi and Dombari communities.
