BIS #6309 Salesian Brothers meet at Kapadwanj

MumbaiSalesians' Brothers met for a 02-day ongoing formation programme on 19-20 March 2021, at Don Bosco Kapadwanj. The meet began with the solemn Eucharistic celebration on 19 March, celebrating the solemnity of Saint Joseph. Rector, Father Mayank Parmar was the principal celebrant. Later, in the evening, Amrutdhara Assistant Director, Father Ashwin Macwan presented a reflection from the Apostolic Letter of Pope Francis, 'Patris Corde' and spoke of Saint Joseph's unique role in the history of salvation and the important elements of his fatherhood in bringing up the boy Jesus. Thereafter, MumbaiSalesians' Brothers' Delegate Brother Royston Colaco, animated the adoration service.

Rector of Don Bosco Snehalaya, Father Gorge Miranda animated Day-02. He presented the Apostolic Exhortation 'Redemptoris Custo' on Saint Joseph, written by Saint Pope John Paul II. He highlighted Joseph's misison as the Guardian of the mystery of God and a life lived in a decorum of silence and prayer. In the next session Father Miranda spoke of Saint Joseph, a man of faith, saying, "Saint Joseph never hesitated nor made objections, but believed fully trusting in the providence of God which was carried out in the Lord's will." He ended by challenging all the brothers to model their life on the attributes of Saint Joseph. Brother Aliester D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of the Brothers.

In the evening, the final business session, evaluated the programme, presented suggestions and planned the upcoming Brothers' meet for the year ahead. The meet concluded with Eucharistic Adoration.
