Since 25 May, the Sacred Heart Parish YouTube Channel is streaming a series on the 07 Sacraments of the Catholic Church in Marathi. Father Richard D'Silva with a 14-year service experience in pastoral-formative ministry presents the concept, and faith-understanding of the 07 Sacraments [Baptism, Holy Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Matrimony & Holy Orders] as vehicles of grace instituted by Christ, and administered by the Church with the proper intention, made effective by virtue of the Church's intercession and Institution.

Father D'Silva has earlier served as Rector of the Pre-Novitiate Formation Community, then located at Pinguli-Kudal in SIndhudurg District-Maharashtra. He has a Masters in Spirituality from the Indian Institute of Spirituality, Bengaluru and is currently the Vice-Rector, Prefect of Studies and Administrator at the Don Bosco Youth Centre-Koregaon Road, Pune. Sought-after for his spiritual guidance and pastoral accompaniment, Father D'Silva has during the COVID-19 Lockdown, also coordinated the Relief Outreach for the impoverished-stranded in Pune city, with a committed team of youth-volunteers, reaching the unreached with provision-aid provided by the DBDS Mumbai, through its donor-agencies.

In the 05 talks broadcast till date, on 25, 26 May and 02, 08, 09 June, Father D'Silva has endeavoured to present in a concise and lucid manner the '07 Sacraments' with an Introductory talk, followed by talks on Baptism, Holy Eucharist, Confirmation and Reconciliation. He introduces the series with, "the purpose of the 07 sacraments is to make us holy, in order to build up the body of Christ - which is the Church, and to worship God. These are outward signs of inward grace, that help us to live our faith in words and deeds of charity, providing us with nourishment, strength, and grace. This is why they are called sacraments of faith."

Hazel Jesus, one of the many viewers, commented, "Thank you so much Fr Richard for a meaningful reflection. Thank you so much, for gratitude is the most powerful, most important and most beautiful prayer man can ever offer to Almighty God. Praise the Lord, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!" The talk-videos notched up a cumulative total of 945 views as of 09 June 2020. For more videos visit Sacred Heart Church Yerwada-Pune Youtube Channel
