BIS #7487 Don Bosco's vision and mission unfold: Annual Day Celebration at Narukot

Don Bosco-Piloo Mody High School and Don Bosco English Medium School, Narukot, celebrated their Annual Day on February 1, 2025. The event commenced at 9:30 a.m. and was attended by esteemed guests, parents, teachers, and students.
The program began with a warm welcome by Fr Elson Barretto, followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Fr Stanny Ferreira SDB from Snehalaya, Vadodara, and Fr Ashwin Macwan SDB from Kapadvanj. The lamp was lit, symbolising the illumination of knowledge and wisdom.
The class 9 girls trained under the guidance of teacher Saroj Parmar from the Gujarati Medium school, presented a beautiful prayer dance, followed by a welcome dance by LKG students under the guidance of Varki and Dipika teachers from the English Medium school.
Fr Stanny Ferreira, the Chief Guest, addressed the audience, emphasising the importance of "education of the heart" rather than just focusing on intellectual development. He encouraged the students to cultivate values like love, compassion, and kindness.
The cultural program was a vibrant showcase of talent, with performances by students from both English and Gujarati medium schools. The English medium school presented a range of dances, including Hindi film dance, a mix masala dance, Punjabi dance, Marathi dance, and English dance.
The Gujarati medium school also presented a range of performances, including a comedy dance, Rajasthani dance, Garba dance, and Timili dance. The students' energy and enthusiasm were palpable, and their performances were met with thunderous applause.
Fr Daresh Rathwa presented the Annual Report, highlighting the schools' achievements and progress over the past year. The distribution of scholarships to deserving students was also a significant highlight of the event.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the National Anthem. The Annual Day celebration was a resounding success, showcasing the talent, creativity, and dedication of the students, teachers, and staff of Don Bosco-Piloo Mody High School and Don Bosco English Medium School, Narukot.
