BIS #6735 Dramatics Competition at DB Lonavla
By Cl. Ethan Fortes for BIS Mumbai
On 5 August 2022, Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Lonavla, organized an inter-house dramatics competition to hone the acting skills of the students. The students of different houses were asked to present short instances from Don Bosco’s life. The event was also held as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Don Bosco, Lonavla.
The students exhibited their hidden talents in acting and presented great performances. The backdrop of the competition conveyed the message that 'the world is a stage and we are all actors'. The month-long preparations by the students paid off as each house put up wonderful performances which left the judges in dilemma to choose a single winner of the competition. Mrs Marina Neves, a former teacher of Don Bosco High School & Junior College, and Fr Shaun D’Lima were the judges of the competition.
Fr D'Lima remarked that he was quite impressed with the finesse in the presentation of the various life events of Don Bosco Lonavla. Mast. Rex Menezes, the leader of the Yellow House, said that the participation in the dramatics competition was a wonderful learning experience where he learned to script a short skit and execute it to perfection.
