BIS #6634 Teachers’ Orientation at DB Nashik
By Fr Cedrick Sankul for BISMumbai
On the morning of 11 June 2022, an orientation programme was held at Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, by Fr Christopher George, to mark the beginning of the scholastic year 2022–23.
Throughout the workshop, Fr George maintained a vibrant mood by involving all teachers in a variety of activities. Each of the activities were aimed at encouraging teachers to be imaginative and creative in the classroom so as to develop the hidden potential of their students. He exhorted that every educator must create an environment that allows the child to grow naturally, and develop into a mature and self-assured individual. He advised the teachers to encourage students to think outside the box rather than conforming to norms without reflection.
Father George also briefed the teachers about the challenges caused by the pandemic, which rendered schools to be closed during the outbreak. It was imperative, therefore, for the teachers to begin anew as physical classes were expected to resume this academic year. He encouraged teachers to be more efficient and effective in their teaching. At the close of the programme, Mr Nitin Pawar proposed the vote of thanks to Fr George.
