With the dawn of a new day with news and happenings from around the globe ranging from sports to politics and the current pandemic, it's time to work things out differently. Tapping into the idea of being different and reaching out to the whole Diocese of Poona, the Salesian Catechetical Centre under the leadership of its Director Father Osborn Furtado and his team, began working almost a month or two preparing the official website of the centre.

With the idea of keeping the faith, proclaiming the faith and living the faith, the website was launched amidst pomp and solemnity in a special ceremony after the festive Eucharistic celebration on the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel 16 July 2020 at 8:00 am. The Don Bosco Youth Centre community gathered around the entrance of the house for the ceremony. Invoking the presence of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Rector DBYC - Father Ivan deSouza thanked the community and those responsible for this venture and hoped that this initiative will benefit many in the diocese. A talk by the Rector posted on the website initiated the launch, with the entire community welcoming the new initiative on behalf of the diocese and it’s faithful. Cleric Ian Pinto, a member of the Catechetical team led the inauguration process and thanked Owls Lair for their contribution in making the launch a success. Sweets were distributed to commemorate the occasion, echoing the words of Pope Francis, “We need to proclaim the Gospel on every street corner," which today is the digital platform.
