BIS #6542 STI Nashik outing to celebrate Immaculate Conception

by Presley Andrade & Cleric Hubert Lyngdoh for BISMumbai

The community of STI celebrated the feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary through a half day visit made to the community of the Assumption sisters in Telloli. The day started with the Eucharist that was solemnized by Father Ivan deSouza.

After the Mass we had our breakfast. Soon at 9.00 am, in two vehicles we departed for Telloli, a remote yet beautiful village. The trip which was a distance of 42 km away from Nashik, was a pleasant and refreshing journey. Along the way we beheld the beautiful scenery that displayed the vineyards and the green farms. We reached Telloli at around 10 a.m. We were hospitably welcomed by the Assumption Sisters. We introduced each other as we partook in a light refreshment of tea and snacks. The sisters were very glad to have us visiting their community. They so kindly took us around their vast campus, briefing us about the history and their mission in Telloli. They run a boarding and a school for the tribal girls of the area. The entire institution is surrounded by a fascinating greenery and beautiful a flower garden. The surrounding was simply a perfect place for us to take some photographs.

After happily and satisfactorily spending our time, we thanked the kind sisters; and we took a leave at around 12 pm. We reached STI at 1pm. The afternoon was spent in some work and games. The day became more meaningful as we spent the evening praying a Rosary in honour of our Blessed Mother.
