To usher in the New Year, a 'camp-fire' was organised on 10 January 2021, for the young people of Nashik at Sacred Heart Training Centre, (SHTC-FMA Novitiate) by the Nashik Salesian Youth Animators. For this event, 26 young people showed up and experienced loads of fun, games and activities, setting up the place themselves and pitching tents, apart from the cooking and barbecue.

Beginning at 4 pm with preparations, the 26 young participants entered into a Taize prayer moment animated by Father Bosco Carvalho and FMA nun Jaya Pedathala together with a few brothers and novices. Facilities for confession and counselling were also made available. Following this, dinner was served and relished! The camp-fire animated by Father Leon Rodrigues and 03 scholastics from Divyadaan, consisted of action songs, games and skits, which ended with a prayer by Father Leon Cruz. Sister Philomena D'Souza gave the though for the night, following which the young people departed home.

One of the participants, Odette, quipped, “This was a beautiful way to start the New Year and also a wonderful opportunity to meet our friends after the pandemic.”
