BIS #6497 Inter-religious prayer at BBH for farmers

by Cleric Gaurav Sansare for BISMumbai

On 11 October, 2021 an Inter-Religious prayer service was conducted at Bosco Boys Home (BBH) Borivali, from 12.30 to 1.30 pm. 17 BBH staff and 51 boys along with the management participated in the prayer service. The purpose of conducting this service was to give insight on the current crisis of the farmers.

After a brief introduction on the current issues and the recent death of 04 farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri, the service also highlighted the ongoing protest against three farm acts. The news clippings helped to gave better understanding of the situation to our boys.

This was followed by singing, bhajans and shlokas from the Bhagvad Gita, hymns from the Bible, reading from the Quran and the Guru Granth Sahib to express the inter-religious sentiments, invoking God for his mercy on the plights of our farmers.

Rector-Father Corlis Gonsalves thanked all the staff and the boys for being part of this service. He concluded saying "God always hears the prayers of small children."
