The feast of St Jean Marie Vianney, patron of parish priests, was celebrated by the Sunday School Catechists at Sacred Heart Parish, Yerwada on 7 August 2022.

The Eucharistic celebration focused on the theme, ‘The Priesthood is the love of the Heart of Jesus’. Around 30 catechism teachers enacted the life of St Jean Marie Vianney.

A short programme was held after the Holy Eucharist. During this event, Fr Michael Bansode - the parish priest, Fr Ajit Munis, Fr Michael Fernandes and Fr Evangelo D'Souza were felicitated. The catechists participated in spontaneous thanksgiving prayer for the priests; this was indeed a moving experience. Team building games were held for the priests and brothers. It was fun and enjoyable to see the parish team working together who came up with absolute innovative and creative ideas.

Towards the end of the programme, the priests cut a cake thus adding much sweetness and happiness to the moment. This was followed by a scrumptious lunch for everyone present. The co-ordinator Mrs Monica D’Souza thanked everyone for their wholehearted participation.
