BIS #6706 Hygiene Week at DB Nashik

Don Bosco School, Nashik, carried out an innovative venture ‘Hygiene Week’ from 12 to 15 July 2022 to promote hygiene standards in the school under the able guidance of the Principal, Fr Cedrick Sankul. It was followed by a medical check-up of the students by professional medical practitioners.

Good hygiene is necessary for preventing the spread of infectious diseases and helping children lead healthy lives. It also results in better learning. Thus, doctors were also invited to address the girl-students of Secondary Section and Junior College on bodily changes and body care during adolescence and teenage. On 16 July, a Covid vaccination drive was conducted by the local health department for the school students.

Videos and PowerPoint presentations were carried out in the school to create awareness about good hygiene among the students of the school. Poster-making and Essay writing on hygiene and cleanliness were also taken up.

Environmental hygiene was also promoted by involving the higher classes in the cleanliness drive that took place in the school campus under the supervision of Mrs Ashoo Verma and Mr Sachin Sabe.
