Don Bosco School Investiture Ceremony 2025
July 4, 2025 – Don Bosco School, Nashik held its Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025 with solemnity and purpose. The event marked the formal installation of the newly elected Student Executive Council and House Captains, who were entrusted with responsibilities rooted in values, discipline, and service. It was a reminder that leadership extends beyond badges and sashes—it is a call to live by the ideals of St John Bosco, leading through action and example.
The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the school’s leadership team: Fr Royal, Rector and Manager; Fr Rixson, Principal; Fr Pannasingh, Administrator; and Fr Leon, a new member of the management team. They were received with a Guard of Honour presented by the school’s student contingent, a gesture of respect and acknowledgment.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the pursuit of wisdom and enlightenment. This was followed by a garlanding of the portrait of St John Bosco by Fr Royal, setting a spiritual tone for the gathering. A Scriptural reading from the Holy Bible, followed by a soulful and meditative prayer service, sanctified the occasion. The solemn invocation served not only as a moment of grace but also as a profound reminder of the values Don Bosco championed—faith in God, love for the young, and dedication to service.
A special moment of the day was the official welcome of Fr Leon, who was introduced and presented with a token of appreciation. In his keynote address, Fr Royal highlighted the significance of holding the Investiture on the Feast of St Dominic Savio, a model of youthful holiness and leadership. He reminded the student body that leadership is not about power, but service, humility, and moral responsibility.
The symbolic handover of flags followed, where outgoing captains from the primary and secondary sections handed over their flags to the Principal, officially concluding their leadership term. The flags were then passed on to the newly elected captains by Fr Royal and Fr Pannasingh, symbolising the transfer of trust and responsibility.
The newly appointed leaders were then invested with their badges of office and led in the Oath of Commitment, pledging to serve with integrity, discipline, and dedication. The event reflected the school’s continuing effort to nurture student leaders inspired by the legacy of St Dominic Savio whose exemplary life continues to inspire generations of student leaders at Don Bosco..
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Fr Rixson, who expressed gratitude to the entire school community—teachers, support staff, students, and parents—whose collective efforts ensured the success of the event.
