On the occasion of International Yoga Day, on June 21, 2025 Don Bosco School Campus, Chhotaudepur, organized special yoga sessions for its students to promote the importance of physical and mental well-being through the ancient Indian practice of yoga. The event saw active participation from both Gujarati and English Medium students in two separate sessions conducted on the school campus.
The sessions were led by experienced trainers from the Brahma Kumaris an organization in Chhotaudepur district. The school extended a warm welcome to the trainers, Ms. Monica Didi and Mr. Ashwin Kumar, who graciously guided the students through the yoga practices. The program began with a short introduction about the significance of International Yoga Day, its global recognition, and its role in promoting a balanced lifestyle.
In the first session, students from the Gujarati Medium gathered for a structured session that began at 8:00 in the morning. The trainers explained the purpose and benefits of each yoga posture before demonstrating it. This helped students understand how yoga contributes not only to physical fitness but also to inner peace and mental clarity.
Recognizing the younger age group, the trainers adapted the exercises to make them simpler and more engaging. Despite the differences in the routines, the spirit of participation and enthusiasm remained equally high among all the students.
The dedication and positive response from the students left the trainers highly impressed. They praised the school for encouraging holistic development and appreciated the discipline and eagerness shown by the children.
The International Yoga Day celebration at Don Bosco Chhotaudepur proved to be a meaningful and rejuvenating experience, reinforcing the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for holistic well-being.
