BIS #7549 Spiritual Day at Don Bosco Chinchwad: A Journey of Reflection and Renewal

by Sachin Auchare for BIS Mumbai

The students of Don Bosco Chinchwad had a profoundly enriching spiritual experience led by Fr Bastin Thomas. The day's proceedings began with the students being divided into groups, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared reflection.

The season of Lent, a period of introspection and spiritual growth, served as the backdrop for this spiritual day. Fr Bastin Thomas guided the students in exploring the three pillars of Lent: examining one's life, acknowledging areas for improvement, and seeking inward grace. Recognizing mistakes, making amends, striving for personal growth, strengthening one's relationship with God, seeking forgiveness, and renewing commitment to a life of faith.

Through this spiritual day, the students were invited to embark on a journey of self-discovery, repentance, and spiritual renewal, deepening their connection with God and with one another.

The spiritual day at Don Bosco was a resounding success, bringing together Catholic and non-Christian students for a day of meaningful discussions and reflections. Fr Bastin Thomas expertly animated the sessions, encouraging active participation from all students.

In the evening, Catholic students had the opportunity to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Prior to this, Fr Bosco D'Mello provided guidance on the confession process, helping students prepare for this sacred ritual.

The spiritual day culminated in a poignant adoration ceremony, led by Fr Bastin. This moment of collective prayer and reflection brought a sense of calm and unity to the students, rounding off the day's events on a profound note.

The spiritual day at Don Bosco served as a powerful reminder of the importance of faith, reflection, and community, fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity and spiritual growth among students of all backgrounds.
