The Pre-Primary and Lower Primary children of Don Bosco School, Nerul, celebrated Desh Bhakti day on 12 August 2022 with a stage performance and a musical skit. This was held in the context of the nationwide celebrations of India's 75th Independence Day.

The little angels welcomed the Principal - Mrs Sangita Bhattacharya, Vice Principal - Fr Akhil Abraham, Head Teacher - Mrs Jyotsna D’Souza, and Supervisor - Ms Diana Rayan with their smiles and joy, dressed up representing the different states of India with their emotions ranging from awe, innocence to curiosity. A musical on the theme of patriotism was presented by the lower primary students. The true meaning of patriotism was very well portrayed in the skit as students represented persons from different walks of life who through hard work bring about the progress and development of India. They continued their enthusiastic fervour even when they returned to their classrooms for a variety of activities with their teachers.

The teachers in charge had put in lot of efforts to train and guide children for making this event a grand success. The little ones won the hearts of everyone present with their splendid performance. The program concluded with the vote of thanks given by Mrs Uma Ramesh.
