Every year, the Don Bosco Youth Services through its Social Experience-Groups and Movements department of the Salesian Province of St. Francis Xavier Bombay (INB) organises an Annual Altar Servers' Rally for the young people from the Don Bosco Salesian Parishes. This year 2020, the event for Mumbai City is scheduled on Sunday, 19 January 2020.

It is an occasion to bring together all the young - boys and girls - for a day of animation, interaction, introspection and continued future dedication in the service they render. As in the years passed by, this year too, such an event is on the cards.

Father Leon Rodrigues-Head of the Social Experience dimension of MumbaiSalesians, and Incharge of AVEC- Archdiocesan Value Education Centre, managed by the MumbaiSalesians for the Archdiocese of Bombay under the Don Bosco Youth Services umbrella, in conversation with BISMumbai says, "it is a fun-filled day of interaction, introspection and future commitment. This year the theme is 'Thy Will be done as it is in heaven' as proposed by the Strenna 2020 of the Rector Major to specifically focus on 'Being Good Human Beings and Upright Citizens'. Each of the representative groups will depict this theme through dance, skit or song."

Father McEnroe Lopes, Director Don Bosco Youth Services Matunga-Mumbai adds, "This is a platform for young people, those who assist at the altar to come together, share and learn from one another, and express creatively what it means to be an Altar Server. Hopefully, the future of the Church, vocations will be forthcoming from such events. This is our hope and prayer."

The event for the Mumbai Region is on 19 January 2020, with a minimal registration fee of ₹ 50/- per participant. The last day for registration is 09 January 2020 with dbysmatunga(at)gmail(dot)com or on +91 9920588382.
