BIS #7358 Khandenavami Celebration at Don Bosco ITI Chinchwad

Don Bosco ITI, Chinchwad, observed the sacred occasion of Khandenavami with a unique fusion of tradition and reverence for the tools and machines essential to the students' technical training.

Students showcased their creativity by decorating the workshops, infusing the space with colorful decorations and festive spirit.

The Management of Don Bosco was warmly invited to each workshop for the traditional puja ceremony. Students welcomed the dignitaries with enthusiasm, fostering a sense of community and unity.

The celebration commenced with a solemn Tools and Machine Poojan ceremony, where instructors, students, and staff from various trades collectively worshipped the machines and tools vital to their craft. This ancient Indian ritual acknowledges the significance of these instruments in shaping the students' futures.

Representatives from diverse trades such as  Electrical, Mechanic, Fitter, Welding, Motor Mechanic, Electric Vehicle, Mechanic (Auto Body Repair), Tailoring, Social Work participated in the poojan.

While invoking God's blessings, the staff & students with devotion adorned tools with flowers and vermillion, offered incense and prayers and sought blessings for safe and effective tool usage.

Mr Nilesh Chandgude, Principal of Don Bosco ITI Chinchwad, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the Tools and Machine Poojan. "In trades like ours, where hands-on practice is paramount, it's essential to acknowledge the vital role tools and machines play in our growth. By honoring them, we recognize their impact on our livelihoods," he said.

This celebration showcased the institute's dedication to preserving India's rich cultural heritage while fostering a deeper connection between students, their tools, and their trades.
