The Don Bosco Narukot Development Department in Narukot, Gujarat, has been working tirelessly to uplift the lives of women in rural areas through its quarterly sewing courses. These courses, conducted in every village, aim to promote economic development and self-reliance among women. The initiative has not only provided employment opportunities but also boosted the confidence and respect of these women within their families.
Recently, the 10th sewing batch was inaugurated by Fr Vinay in Gogadia village, marking a significant milestone in the organization's efforts. The ceremony was attended by village leaders, sisters, and organization staff, highlighting the community's support for this initiative.
The organization's commitment to gratitude was evident as they expressed their heartfelt thanks to Shri Kishanbhai Kaljibhai Rathwa, who generously provided a house for three months to facilitate the sewing course. This gesture has enabled the sisters to pursue their training without any hindrance, paving the way for a brighter future.
Through these sewing courses, women have gained valuable skills, secured employment, and earned respect within their families. The initiative has been a game-changer, empowering women to take charge of their lives and contribute to their family's well-being. Don Bosco Narukot's efforts serve as a shining example of the impact of community-driven initiatives in promoting social and economic development.
