A two-day orientation programme was conducted for the staff of the School and Junior College on June 13, 2024 by Ms Ranjana Gupta from DBIS. The first day consisted of the teachers from the Primary and Pre-Primary section, while the following day was for the rest of the faculty.

The programme consisted of theoretical as well as practical sessions that helped build collaboration. Fostering critical thinking and building an effective classroom environment were some of the key topics covered by Ms Gupta throughout the sessions. She also provided practical approaches towards curriculum integration and presentation skills.

To enhance the learning experience, video clips were shown, prompting group discussions that allowed participants to delve deeper into the subjects being covered. This multimedia approach facilitated a richer understanding and kept the staff engaged.

Overall, the orientation was activity-based, making it a dynamic and interactive learning experience. Teachers left with a wealth of new knowledge and practical strategies to apply in their teaching practices.

Tr Rina Chandekar, the coordinator of Savio Kindergarten, exclaimed that the training programme was indeed a success providing valuable insights into understanding the students and facilitating a good learning environment for the students.
