The Sacred Heart Parish, Narukot in Gujarat marked this special day with great enthusiasm and devotion on June 22, 2025.
The highlight of the celebration was the Holy Mass, which was presided over by Most Rev. Bishop Sebastião Mascarenhas, SFX. The Bishop was joined by a number of priests and religious from neighbouring Salesian parishes, who came to celebrate with the Salesian community at Narukot. The concelebrated Mass was a beautiful expression of unity and solidarity among the clergy and the religious, and it added to the festive atmosphere of the day.
After the Mass, the community gathered for a small program, where the Bishop, priests, and newly appointed religious, were felicitated. The boarding girls from the convent of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary (DHMI) showcased their talents with a beautiful dance performance, while the boys from the boarding school followed suit with an energetic dance routine. The performances were well-received by the audience, and they added to the festive atmosphere of the day.
The program was a wonderful way to express gratitude and appreciation to the guests, and it was a celebration of the community's joy and unity. The parishioners and guests alike were treated with great respect and kindness throughout the celebration, reflecting the warm hospitality that the Narukot Parish is known for.
