The light of the world , the beacon in the dark and the hope that gives us strength to survive, is our Teacher. Teachers’ day is celebrated on 5th September every year. It is a day when we honour the gifted souls who work everyday to make sure that the future is bright for all of us. We also keep the Feast of St. Mother Teresa. Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Pune paid a fitting tribute to its teaching and support staff on 03 and 06 September 2021, as the management organised felicitous twin celebrations both in the online and offline mode.

The whole event was meticulously planned by Principal-Father Ajit Munis, the mangement, supervisors of the various sections, and the students.

The online programme was live streamed on YouTube. It commenced with a prayer service and a prayer dance invoking God's blessings on all the teachers. There were some noteworthy performances by the students in the form of dance, act and songs especially created in honour of the teachers. A video compilation of photos of the retired teachers was played where Mary George, a former teacher, expressed her gratitude and thanked the management staff and past pupils for reaching out to the retired teachers even during this pandemic.

Rector-Father Michael Bansode, greeted the staff and also lauded the teachers for their commitment to education, dedication and sincere efforts. Father Munis, appreciated the efforts of the teachers through the pandemic and thanked them for their selfless service and dynamic support. The online programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Junior College Supervisor-Leo D'Souza.
