An online vocation coordinators' meeting was held on 15 March 2022 from 06-7:30 pm, with 15 vocation coordinators (lay collaborators) of the Salesian houses of the Salesian Province of Bombay [INB], in attendance.

The objectives of the meeting were:

To get the vocation team members on a common platform for sharing of works and its outcome.

To receive an update of all the activities conducted concerning vocation animation.

To clarify and receive feedback and suggestions for vocation ministry.

Father Bosco Carvalho gave an input session on Don Bosco and vocation, and how as vocation facilitators, we need to accompany young people.

The members present shared various activities and work undertaken in their respective institutions regarding vocation promotion for two to three minutes. The following Salesian Institutions were represented: Don Bosco Nerul, Dominic Savio Andheri, Don Bosco Nashik,

Don Bosco Kuwait, Our Lady of Dolours, St. Dominic Savio AntopHill, Don Bosco School Matunga, Don Bosco Naigaon, Resurrection Church Virar, Jyoti Mata Church, Don Bosco Savedi, St Anne’s Ahmednagar, Don Bosco Makarpura, and Don Bosco Borivli.

As a way forward, MumbaiSalesians' Provincial Councillor for Vocation Animation-Father Blany Pinto suggested the following:

All the vocation teams to evaluate their activities and their outcome.

The teams to enlist their challenges in the vocation promotion.

The teams to identify and plan new activities regarding vocations.

The teams to identify and accompany students from 5 to 7 so that they can be readied to look at coming over to DBL from Std 8.

The teams to prepare an annual plan for vocation animation by the second week of July 2022.

Father Bandya thanked all the coordinators for their generous contribution and service as vocation team members and for helping young people discern their vocation and concluded the meet with a prayer.
