BIS #7356 Inauguration of KSB Supported Fitter Lab at Don Bosco Chinchwad

Don Bosco Chinchwad as the institute witnessed the grand inauguration of the KSB-supported Fitter Lab on October 9, 2024. The Don Bosco Management, staff, and students welcomed Shri Rajiv Jain, Managing Director, KSB, and other dignitaries. Teacher Sneha performed a traditional Aarti, adding to the ceremonial ambience.

Shri Rajiv Jain, Shri Mohan Patil, and Fr Ashley Miranda jointly cut the ribbon of the Fitter lab. Fr Ashley Miranda, Vice Provincial, inaugurated the Computer Lab. The classroom was inaugurated by Shri Guruprasad Kapadi and Software Simulation was inaugurated by Fr. Anton D'Souza, Director. 

Shri Swapnil Karbhari, Master Trainer provided a comprehensive demo of the lab's capabilities, impressing the dignitaries. The gathering moved to the Fitter Lab's open space for the formal program. The dignitaries invoked God's blessings and grace through lighting of the lamps.

Mr. Nilesh Chandgude, Principal shared the journey of Don Bosco and KSB's collaboration, praising both managements for the state-of-the-art training facility. Shri Rajiv Jain, MD, KSB lauded the lab and campus, sharing his childhood experiences and urging students to utilize the facilities to brighten their future.

Fr Ashley Miranda spoke on Don Bosco's vision for youth empowerment, emphasizing discipline and self-growth. Shri Mohan Patil praised Don Bosco's educative system, sharing personal experiences with the institution.

On this occasion, Mr Nilesh Chandgude was felicitated for achieving an MBA with distinction.

Fr Anton thanked Don Bosco and KSB managements for their collaboration. In his speech, he highlighted women empowerment through the example of 29 girls enrolled in Electrical Vehicle training.

The Director announced upcoming events in the month of October such as the AC/Refrigerator course lab opening and DB ACE (Don Bosco Advance Computer Education) launch.

In the end, Fr D'Souza expressed gratitude to dignitaries, Mrs Rachel Pinto (event anchor), and all attendees.

After the formal function, the KSB officials planted saplings in the garden of Don Bosco Chinchwad, symbolizing the growing partnership between Don Bosco and KSB, aimed at empowering youngsters. This partnership has already led to some exciting developments, such as the inauguration of the KSB-supported Fitter Lab.

Don Bosco Chinchwad, established in 1999, focuses on providing technical training courses to youth from poor households.
