BIS Independence day and parish feast at Chhotaudepur
by BISMumbai Correspondent
Independence day of our country begets variety of feelings in our hearts, one of the dominant ones is the pride of being an Indian. To celebrate the same feeling together as a family the students and the staff of Don Bosco Chhotaudepur gathered to pay homage to our country on this special day.
Rev. Fr. George Carlos the rector and manager of Don Bosco Chhotaudepur was invited to be the chief guest for the programme. Due to the Coronavirus protocols the students were called in limited numbers. Students participated with a variety of patriotic songs and speeches. Our chief guest Fr Carlos encouraged all to focus on the positive aspects of our country and cherish our unity as brothers and sisters of the mother nation.
August 15 is also celebrated as the parish feast under the patronage of 'Mukti Dayini Mata' at Chhotaudepur. Despite the covid situation the Faithful gathered in good numbers to pray and show devotion to our mother. The Marian Nite in the honour of our lady was held on 12 August at Fatepura and the feast was celebrated with much enthusiasm and devotion.
