On 27 June 2022, the Savion family at St Dominic Savio School, Andheri, welcomed its newest addition – ‘St Dominic Savio School – Nursery,’ the Nursery section of the School. 40 Nursery Children along with the parents witnessed the inauguration ceremony conducted in 2 batches at the School Hall premise, etching a golden moment in the educational venture of the institution.

The inauguration began with a PTA meeting wherein, the Salesian Community School team was introduced and the curriculum was explained to the parents. Then, the Nursery Section was formally opened by Fr Brian Moras, the Rector, and Fr Boniface D’Souza. The children, along with their parents, spent some time in the classroom, understanding the Code of Conduct required for the nursery. The highlight of the event were the Nursery children themselves, who after getting accustomed to the environment, explored the classroom and danced to the tune of the action song, ‘When you’re happy and you know it’.

Most parents, in particular, looked excited as their children embarked on their educational journey. Mrs Mary Menezes, one of the parents remarked, “We are excited and are looking forward to our son adapting and growing in his own way.” Mrs Jeanette Crasto, the supervisor of the Nursery commented, “This venture is a new experience for us. We are all excited to meet and be with the Children; helping them grow and be better boys, and later men!”
