BIS #6586 Scout day and Matrubhasha Divas at Don Bosco Chhotaudepur

Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the world scout movement gave a lot of importance to the scouting for the boys. Scouting and guiding is a movement spread all over the world. On 22 February 2022 Don Bosco School at Chhotaudepur celebrated the world scout day. The Scout Day celebrations began at 8.00 am in the school ground with the prayer and the hoisting of the scout flag. Principal-Mr. Ishwar Dabhi, was the chief guest with Mr. Shailesh Darji and Fr Chris Ferreira as the guests of honour.

Miss Unnati from std. 7 B led the troop for the March past. Master Dharmik was the host for the program that followed after the flag hoisting. Master Jaival, Miss Vaidehi, Miss Naiya and Miss Hina spoke about the History of Scouting, Lord Baden Powell, Scout Law and Scout Promise. The program ended with the dance put up by the scouts and guides. In the end, Mrs. Neeta Vaghela, the guide in charge gave a vote of thanks.

After the Scout Day programme, the school staff organized the Matrubhasha Divas celebration. Mr. Jitu Parmar was the compere. Mr Dashrath Rathwa and Mrs Rekha Chauhan performed Gujarati Dohras and Kavyas. A group of students from class 9 put up a Gujarati Lokgeet.
