BIS #7070 Convocation Ceremony at DBVPK

The staff and students of Don Bosco Vyawasaik Prashikshan Kendra (DBVPK), Chinchwad, organised a convocation ceremony for the outgoing students of the Institute on 22 September 2023. The event was graced with the presence of Mr Prasad Sangle as the Chief Guest and Mr Camil Parkhe as the Guest of Honour.

Mr Sangle, currently holds the esteemed position of Law Officer and Joint Commissioner in the Pune Region. With extensive contributions to the Pune region and a commendable collaborative record with the Diocese of Pune, he holds the distinction of being the first Catholic Law Officer in Maharashtra. 

The ceremony commenced with the melodious voices of the students, who welcomed the esteemed guests with a heartwarming welcome song. Fr Anton D’Souza, the Rector, introduced and extended a warm welcome to the guests, presenting them with bouquets as tokens of appreciation. He also took the opportunity to highlight the prestigious standards of the Don Bosco educational system, emphasising its global influence.

Mr Sangle, in his address to the students, urged them to embrace optimism in their academic endeavours and strive relentlessly towards their goals. Drawing from his personal experiences, he emphasised the pivotal role of hard work and willpower in achieving success. He advised the graduating students to cherish the memories they had forged at the institute while preserving the values they had imbibed.

Mr Parkhe, a veteran journalist with a remarkable career, shared his insights during the ceremony. Having contributed to distinguished newspapers such as Navhind Times, Times of India, Indian Express, and Sakal, he shared his remarkable journey, emphasising the importance of continuous learning and adaptability. He encouraged the students to maintain an open-minded approach, fostering a thirst for knowledge and the cultivation of new skills and habits.

The chief guest along with the guest of honour felicitated the students who completed their respective ITI courses congratulating them and wishing them well for the future. The rankers of each trade in the first year were also congratulated on their outstanding achievement.

In conclusion, the convocation ceremony at DBVPK was a memorable event. As these students embark on their journeys beyond the institute, they carry with them the wisdom and inspiration imparted during their training into their careers.
