BIS #7484 Golden Jubilee and Annual Day Celebration at Don Bosco High School Pune

On January 31, 2025, Don Bosco High School, Pune, celebrated its Golden Jubilee cum Annual Day with great enthusiasm, marking 50 years of dedication to education. The event was a tribute to generations of students nurtured under the values of Don Bosco, featuring a program that combined tradition, honor, and spectacular performances.
The celebration began with a Guard of Honour for Chief Guest Fr Roland Coelho SJ, Rector of Papal Seminary, accompanied by Fr Crispino D’Souza, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco High School, and other dignitaries. The compères welcomed the guests, setting the tone for the evening.
A traditional welcome ceremony followed, including the arti and pinning of badges, symbolizing respect. Students from Savio Kindergarten performed a prayer song, invoking blessings for the school, while Standard I and II students sang a welcome song, uplifting the atmosphere.
The dignitaries were invited on stage, where Fr Crispino D’Souza introduced Fr Coelho, acknowledging his presence at this milestone event. A highlight was the felicitation of the Chief Guest and dignitaries with saplings, symbolizing growth and sustainability, embodying the nurturing values of the school.
A touching moment was the Jubilee Felicitation for Ms Sangeeta Patil, a dedicated teacher whose mentorship has shaped countless students. Fr D’Souza read a citation celebrating her contributions, followed by a memento presentation. Ms Patil expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the support she received over the years.
Scholarships were awarded to students, recognizing their hard work and inspiring all to strive for excellence. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, reflecting on the school’s 50-year journey, emphasizing the legacy of Don Bosco and the impact of the Salesians in shaping young minds. His words resonated with the audience, reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic education.

The evening featured a grand theatrical presentation by students, depicting the school’s 50-year legacy. This spectacular performance took the audience on a nostalgic journey, highlighting the school’s humble beginnings, challenges overcome, and its triumphant growth, capturing the spirit and values of Don Bosco High School.
As the celebration concluded, Ms Varsha Hiwale, Head Teacher of the Secondary Section, delivered a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success. The evening ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, marking a historic celebration.
